Sensationail Black Friday Haul

Sensationail, the DIY at home gel nail polish, just opened up an online store. There was a sale on Black Friday where most polishes were on sale for $5 each (usually priced at $11.99). I acted fast but sadly was only able to get two because the other colors were sold out already. They posted on Facebook that the sale was extended and I checked online again and the colors I wanted were back in stock! So I bought a bunch more!

I was really excited not only because of the sale, but because this is the first time I was able to get the colors I really wanted with the ease of buying them online.

The sale is now over :*(  I heard these are also on clearance sale right now at Rite-Aid, Walgreens, and CVS so you still might be able to get them half off. If you would like a $2 off coupon, go to their Facebook page and click on "Nominate a Sensational Woman". All you have to do is nominate someone who you think deserves to be recognized as sensational and you will get a coupon emailed to you. Your friend doesn't even have to win. You get a coupon just for nominating someone!

Disclaimer: I am a Sensationail Ambassador, which means they do occasionally send me free products. These were all paid for by me with my own money, and not given to me for free.

Sensational Review

This is a Press Sample that was sent to me but this is my honest opinion on the product.

I recently have gotten into "DIY" soak off gel polishes. My favorite brand so far is Sensationail by Nailene. I have today one of the colors from their new Liquid Metal collection, Going for the Rose Gold.

It was hard to get the true color so it does seem more lighter than it really is. It is in real life a rose gold. It is a beautiful color that has a foil finish. The color kind of reminds me of Orly Rage

The formula was really easy to work with. Usually with these gels, it floods my cuticles and clean up is kind of a pain. But I had no problem with this. It could be I'm just used to applying them now. I really had no clean up to do at all. It was like buttah!

And here is a little nail art I did. I added gold glitter as an accent and stamped the skyline from the new Bundle Monster plates. I got inspired by my favorite pro nail artists from Hey, Nice Nails!

33 Day Challenge: Day 2

My most used color polish is Urban Outfitters Hottub.
I practically used it all summer. I don't know why but I love neon pink! Really, I was never really much of a pink person but I have been wearing it a lot lately.

I stamped the flowers again from my new Winstonia plates. This is from W-04.

Thanks for looking and please check out the other blogs participating!

31 Day Challenge: Day 12

Today's theme is stripes.
Traditionally not stripes but I liked the pattern.
The pink base is Sinful Colors Heartfelt, a nice bubble gum pink.

Then I stamped the design on using Sally Hansen Speedy Sunburst

Thanks for looking.

Day 11 of 31 Day Challenge and Day 1 of the 33 Day Challenge!

Today is the first day of the Crumpets Nail Tarts 33 Day Challenge. We are a nail art group on facebook. Today's challenge coincides with the 31 Day Challenge also (for me anyway). Both are dots! So I'm combining them together in this post.

The base is 3 coats of Wet N Wild 2% Milk. I wanted a sheer, milky base and this was perfect.

The dots are La Splash Retro (mint green), French Mauve (purple), and Pink Lavender (pink).

Thanks for looking.

31 Day Chalenge: Day 10

Day 10 - Gradient Nails

Today's theme is gradient nails. I did a bright blue gradient.
I really love how this turned out. I used Sally Hansen White On, Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See, and Wet n Wild Listening to Blue Reed
It sort of screamed tropical to me so I added some stamping.
I added some big green tropical leaves and some orange hibiscus flowers. The green leaves are from Winstonia W-03. The hibiscus flowers are from Mash-43. Then I used a thin paint brush and added the yellow for the stamens.
This turned out to be one of my favorite manis. I love gradients anyway. They are always my favorite.

31 Day Challenge Day 9

Day 9: Rainbow nails

Today's theme is rainbow nails. I am seriously getting lazy with nail art lately.
This is Sally Hansen Blue-Away with a layer of OPI Rainbow Connection then a layer of Sinful Colors Cinderella on top of that.

I stamped a rainbow from the Winstonia W105 plate and some clouds from Mash-37

Thanks for looking. Guess what starts on Monday?

31 Day Challenge: Day 8

Day 8: Metallic Nails

So for today, instead of metallic polish, I used metallic foil. This is a gold holographic nail foil from Winstonia.

I got this foil as a free gift with my recent order from Winstonia. I bought some stamping plates from them. Maybe I'll review those a little later, but I'm sure there are reviews on those somewhere on another blog.

I used some nail foil glue that I got from Dollarnailart.com. I waited til it dried clear and then pressed the foil on to my nails. Easy peazy! There is no top coat on these. Usually when you top coat foil, it wrinkles up the foil. It is just super shiny on its own.

31 Day Challenge: Day 7

Day 7: Black and White

These are my black and white nails. It is hard to tell but on the white nails, I stamped music sheet notes. They smudged a little when I used top coated it. The image is from a Cheeky Jumbo plate. There is no number or identifier. It is just a huge plate with probably over 100 images on it.

The black nails are topped with little white studs I found at Michaels. They actually came on a key chain wrist strap, and I of course thought "Hey these would work great as studs for my nails!". So I picked all of them off. Luckily they were just glued on.
So the white is just Sally Hansen White On. I stamped with Konad Special Black. The black is Wet n Wild Black Creme

31 Day Challenge: Day 6

Day 6: Violet Nails

Here I am, late to the party again. A lot of bloggers are ahead of me but I'm taking this at my own pace. So today is violet nails. I used lavender instead of violet so hopefully this counts.

This is Zoya Stevie that I stamped some flowers on. The flowers came from my new Winstonia W-04 plate. The images are quite huge though for my nails though but the images are lovely. They stamp nice too.

I filled in the middle of the flowers with Zoya Solange. Solange and Stevie are both textured "PixieDust" polishes.

Thanks for looking!

edit: I was playing around, and wanted the flowers to have some contrast against the background. So I painted in the open space with some green paint.

I think I like that much better. Which one do you like more?

31 Day Challenge: Day 5

Day 5: Blue Nails

This is day 5 of the 31 day challenge and today's theme is blue.
My two middle nails are two coats of Sinful Colors Sugar Rush with two coats of Hard Candy Sweet Tooth on top. Their names are very fitting for each other. I just realized that. lol

My three other nails are a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff. I used a dotting tool and added rows of dots.

The blue dots I used Sally Hansen Insta-dri Co-Bolt Blue and Blue-Away
Top coat as always is Nutra Nail Speed Dry Top Coat

Thanks for looking!

31 Day Challenge: Day 4

Green Nails
 Today's nails are green nails.
I was inspired by a recent Robin Moses video she called "Mermaid Swag".

This is what I ended up with.
The base is Wet N Wild Twining Vines.  It looks gold in the pic but it is a shimmery yellow-green polish. Then I sponged Orly Mermaid Tale glitter on the tips.

Mermaid Tale is one of my favorite glitter toppers. It really lives up to its name. It is densely packed with blue and green holo glitter. This mani is shiny at every angle!

31 Day Challenge 2013: Day 3

Day 3 are yellow nails.
I don't own many yellows. This is Sally Hansen Insta-dri Lightening and Wet N Wild Black Creme.

I decided to stamp a lace (or snakeskin maybe?) design and fishnet design.

31DC2013: Day 2 (late)

Day two is orange nails. I used my favorite neon orange. It is Urban Outfitters Tiny Shorts. It is so bright and vivid and I don't even need to use a white base underneath.

This is just two coats by itself. Outdoors. In the shade.

I then stamped some stripes. I wanted to go with black stripes but the black polish I use stained my cuticles way too much and I got frustrated with the clean up. So I switched to white stripes.

Day 1 of the 31 Day Challenge: Red!

This is Fantasy Makers Vamp Red. It is a novelty polish that was sold around Halloween last year and comes in a little tombstone shaped bottle. It is a nice oxblood type red but it bubbled up pretty badly on my thumb for some reason.

Not wanting to leave it plain, I added a coat of Max Factor Fantasy Fire on top and added some shells and studs.

See the pretty color shift here.
Thanks for checking this out!
